New update: EA v 0.2.2

Hi all,

We wanted to get you a quick "small" update out here fixing a bunch of things found in this first week of early access.

We have a lot of great feedback and constructive feedback, and we are still going through it all. But we picked various issues and improvements.

You can check out the change log as a sticky in the top of the forum.

Have a great weekend, and we continue on with the milestone plan.

Changelog: 

EA v 0.2.2

Improvements:

  1. Allowing modders to add new units, weapons and items vs. only changing
  2. Item icons; weapon icons and unit portraits are now externalized and moddable inside StreamingAssets
  3. Map visuals updated
  4. New unit portraits
  5. Showing “no cover” indicator
  6. Made more clear which NPC’s can be spoken to with speech bubble over head
  7. Hire button now flashes when returning to Strategic Map for the first time
  8. The game now warns you before starting a new game if you have a savegame already
  9. The quest log under the map can now be scrolled
  10. Not hitting objects that are too close when missing a shot (e.g. crate right in front of merc)
  11. Rotated the minimap 45 degrees, to make navigation more intuitive (WIP - deactivated enlarge function)


Fixes:

  1. Fixed Ferryman and Daughters Necklace quests
  2. Mercs no longer stay in your squad on the map screen after they die
  3. Control screen updated with proper font, also shows how to select multiple units
  4. Enemy hover and right-click menu now shows the correct bonuses
  5. Main menu improved for low resolutions
  6. Locked down font size of dialogs
  7. Removed calculation of remaining AP, as it was more confusing than helpful
  8. Fixed the mouse over units when shooting to not show wrong AP
  9. Fixed multiple units on the same tile bug
  10. Various combat improvements
  11. Dead mercs can no longer talk when clicked
  12. Fixed the bug that caused the game state to not be cleared when reloading after death
  13. Rolodex no longer stays active when toggling the strategic map
  14. Fixed the input hotkeys to work when mouse is over UI panels
  15. Fixed inventory panel to block game input when active
  16. Strategic layer optimisations
  17. Music should be playing correctly when all enemies are killed
  18. Font updated
  19. Mercs should no longer celebrate killing their allies
  20. The cover lines to enemies display only for the enemies in line of sight
  21. Fixed stances AP
  22. Units now go out of ready mode when turn-based mode ends
  23. Fixed sliding when moving with another stance
  24. Headshot rules adjusted
  25. Fixed the bug in the B13 sector that leads to inability to exit from it
  26. Dead squadmates can now be looted
  27. Portraits are now all in proper aspect ratios
  28. Mercs no longer talk over of each other when rapidly selecting them


TxEditor changes:

  1. Trigger editor added
  2. TriggerZone editor added
  3. Added empty WorkbenchScene for creating new assets
  4. Fixed wrong target directory when building assetbundles
  5. Added editor for setting up waypoints for animals

Hi, Rolyvan. Welcome to the forum.
You download it like every other update on Steam. If you set it on automatic updates, Steam should always update to the latest version.
